Evans IEC Absences SMS Notification Messaging

Dear Parents/Guardians,

All students who are enrolled at school, regardless of their age, are expected to attend school whenever instruction is provided.

From Monday 15 March 2021, Evans Intensive English Centre (IEC) will be using SMS notifications to inform your child’s absences.

The message could read:

·       Whole Day Absent

Evans IEC records show (name of student) is absent from school today (date). Please provide your child with a written explanation on the day of return to school or reply to the SMS message.

·       Late Arrival

Evans IEC records show (name of student) arrived at (time) without a note. Please provide a written explanation the next day or reply to the SMS message.

All unexplained absences would be followed up with the NSW Department of Education Attendance policy process.
