Students generally study an intensive English program for approximately 20 weeks which includes a transition program that helps them successfully integrate into studies at their chosen secondary high school.

Students learn English through the key learning areas, including maths, science, history and geography.

University-trained and fully qualified English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D) teachers provide lessons in English for key secondary high school subjects. Students benefit from small classes and have access to electronic smart boards, computers, video and library facilities, science laboratories, industrial arts workshops and industrial kitchens.

A Transition to High School program provides students with the opportunity to have some high school experience before transferring to high school. At the same time exiting students and their parents are informed about high school courses and other education and training options.
